Dr. Eckardt's Travels

Dr. John Eckardt will be attending the 10th World Conference On Lung Cancer Symposium in Vancouver, Canada on August 12, 2003. The program is sponsored by Glaxo-SmithKline and the educational objectives are as followed.

  1. To discuss goals of treatment and changes in prescribing for the relapsed small cell lung cancer.
  2. To introduce the efficacy and convenience of Oral Hycamtin in the relapsed setting.
  3. To discuss new treatment options of NSCLC and first line SCLC combinations (including Hope Wolf & Noda trials).
  4. To better understand the rationale for weekly treatment with Hycamtin.

Dr. Eckardt will be speaking on the emerging role of weekly chemotherapy in small cell lung cancer.
