Leonard A. White, Jr, MD, established the foundation of Arch Medical Services,
Inc. in 1977 as Mercy Oncology-Hematology. Mercy Oncology-Hematology became
Arch Medical Group and, later, became Arch Medical Services, Inc. to more
accurately describe the Group's broad interests in medicine complementary
to Oncology and Hematology.
The medical staff presently includes four physicians. The Group is actively
recruiting additional physicians with special interests in specific areas
of Oncology and Hematology. The Group is committed to growth necessary to
accomplish its mission to the patients and referring physicians it serves.
Dr. Alfred O. Greco joined Dr. White in practice in 1981 and Dr. John R. Eckardt
joined them in 1995. Dr. Nelida N. Sjak-Shie joined the practice in 2002.
The practice has grown in its specialized attention to all areas of Oncology
and Hematology. In order to insure the best possible attention to care,
Arch physicians are committed to make available the very best clinical support
to its patients. Arch continues its commitment to obtaining and retaining
the best nurses, technologists, and medical assistants available. Arch supports
their professional growth through continued education and certifications.
Nurses are certified in oncology and chemotherapy administration. They
are also experienced in dealing with the psychological aspects of patients
and their families coping with their diagnosis of cancer and their treatment.
Our nurses provide both skill and compassion in delivering care to our
patients. They are an invaluable extension to our physicians, allowing more
complete care and thorough attention to our patients.
