In the Cooperative Group division of the clinical research program at The Center for Cancer Care and Research, we list available clinical trials designed to improve our current treatment strategies for different cancers. All of our physicians are members of the Heartland Cancer Research Program, a designated Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP) by the National Cancer Institute. (The Heartland Cancer Research Program consists of Missouri Baptist Medical Center and The Center for Cancer Care and Research.) This CCOP status is the highest honor granted to community-based clinical research programs by the NCI. The CCOP designation allows our physicians access to an expanded menu of NCI-approved cancer treatment, cancer prevention and symptom-control clinical trials. The Center for Cancer Care and Research adheres to the Office for Human Research Protection guidelines with regards to ethical and safety standards. At no point in time is any compromise in patient care tolerated.
If you or a family member is interested in participation or just learning more about a particular clinical trial, please proceed to the next pages. All available trials are listed by the type of cancer for which the study is being done. Though the information is updated monthly, there is no guarantee that all trials listed are still available.
